In the spring of 1981 a young, dynamic company began its operations under the direction of Mr. Ralph Romero, president and founder of the company.
R&D Equipment Co. Inc. is an American corporation, incorporated in Fort Worth, Texas USA that has been in business for over 30 years and represents some of the most prominent manufacturing and engineering companies in the process equipment and engineering systems in the USA, Canada and Europe.
R&D Equipment Co. serves customers in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central, South America and many other countries all over the world, who are devoted to industries such as the oilseed processing, animal feeds, bio fuels, lubricants, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and snack processing, as well as the rendering and oleo chemical production for more specialized products.
Our staff is fully bilingual and its main task is to serve multiple industries by offering technical, process advice and equipment optimization as well as implementing the most state-of-the-art technology to their processes to increase production, reduce costs and improve quality in their finished products. Furthermore, we sell new equipment, used or rebuilt equipment, spare parts, and complete processing plants; we also offer technical and process assistance as well as personnel training and support in the start-up of new systems or projects for expansion of plants.
Our customers process a wide-range of products in their plants such as cotton seed, soybean, coconut, peanut, sunflower, flax, canola, castor beans, camelina, jatropha, and many other oil seeds that are used to manufacture finished products for daily use such as bio fuels, lubricants, cooking oils, margarines, shortening, salad dressings, peanut butter and many other extruded products for human and animal consumption.

R&D has an active role in the field attending annual conventions organized by the American Oil Chemist Society (AOCS) in USA, The International Poultry and Feed Expo (IPE/IFE) in Atlanta, GA, The International Oil Mill Superintendent Association (IOMSA) in USA as well as in Latin America, The American Soybean Association (ASA) in Mexico and the Figap Expo (FIGAP) in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Our President Mr. Ralph Romero and his experienced staff share their knowledge and experience regarding the processing industry as requested by the A&M Texas University Food Protein and Research Center at, in College Station Texas and by the American Soybean Association in Mexico. We also offer special training of preventative maintenance and engineering personnel in-house at processing plants that request this service.
