Geelen Counterflow Coolers

This cooler is designed to operate with a fluidized bed. It is used when meal-type product beds are so dense that they do not allow air to pass unless the bed is fluidized. The use of the fluidization principle means that almost every component needs to be changed compared to a normal counterflow cooler. Inlet valve, hood, product distributor, bin walls, discharge systems, product sensors, hopper, air fan, ducting, and control system all need to be customized to make a counterflow cooler suitable for meal cooling. In standard execution, the meal cooler consists of two cooling decks stacked on top of each other.
